Tips
- Can be used to mask off and preserve the original colour of specific areas when wood staining.
- Can be used on marquetry or inlaid areas where many different coloured woods are present to prevent the dust of a strongly coloured wood contaminating the pores of a paler coloured wood.
- Use for the sanding sealer and wax finish, one of the fastest professional looking finishes there is.
Procedure - brush one coat shellac sanding sealer – after a couple of minutes lightly rub down (de-nib) with 320grit lubrasil or garnet paper - burnish with 0000 wire wool to remove any scratch marks – apply one coat wax polish in the normal way.
